POETIC SPEARS
In my mind the words I’m always rousting,
Some I’m keeping some I’m ousting,
How I love this odd diversion,
For with myself I’m always jousting.
And when the right ones I should find,
I’ll cut and paste them in my mind,
Twist and turn them many times,
Until I have them all aligned.
There colors matter not to me,
Nor even how they’re intertwined,
For they flow out there to be maligned,
From a poet who stays colorblind.
But some who hear these pallid words,
Will turn them into singing birds,
For they know the poet now defined,
Has placed them there for all mankind.
